"Cow skinned alive, legs cut off, alive!" Nopes. Dead cow being skinned.

cow skinned alive, legs cut off alive. Nopes. Dead cow being skinned, butchered
There is no way a cow with horns would allow anyone to cut off his legs and skin him alive. Notice they are holding him by the horns to hold his head up. He is dead. They killed him before they skinned him or cut off his hoofs. Notice, no blood. If he were alive, his heart would be pumping lots of blood. They killed the cow then drained him of blood and then they started to butcher him.

That said we are against eating animals.

"Dog used as bait in dog fighting!" Nope. Dog had infection and had skin flaps made.

dog used as bait dog in dog fighting. Nopes. Dog skin infection, skin flap surgery

Okay, I copied this one.

"By now you've seen this pic of this poor dog's face. Some instantly jump to the wrong conclusion that a human slashed the dog even though the real story is generally with the picture. Some also state the dog was given away for free on Craigslist then was used as dog fight bait, also not true. People are using this pic for their own made up story. I've seen at least five different versions. I also saw some people trying to illegally get donations for this dog when they don't have it.

This dog was a stray on the street who was attacked by other stray dogs. The bites got infected. A rescuer St Francis Angels picked up the dog and took her to the vet. This is what she looked like right after they picked her up.

Her wounds were infected and needed to be cleaned. They had to debride some of the dead flesh. They were left with exposed bone so they had to do a skin graft. They took part of her scalp and flipped it over to cover her nasal bone. This is why she has so many stitches and is all cut up.

The group caring for this dog named Camilla is St Francis Angels. Here is their page with the story of this dog. They are in Richmond, Texas.
The group is run by Anne Banman Graber, a critical care veterinary nurse of almost thirty years. The group is not currently a 501 3c."

"Monsters ripped out this poor cat's face, eyes." Nopes. Most likely hit by car.

"Monsters ripped out this poor cat's face, eyes." Nope. Cat was most likely hit by cat. This causes the eyes to be pushed out of the eye socket from the force of the impact. It happens to cats and dogs. This site wants you to share the link because they have ads all over it. They spread fake viral news to make money. Don't fall for it.

"Evil people ground down this dog's teeth!" Nopes. Just a dog with naturally ground down teeth

evil people ground down dog's teeth, snopes, teeth ground down naturally from wear
"Evil people ground down this dog's teeth." Nopes. Some dogs who have untreated fleas, mange or other skin disorders for many years will grind down their own teeth chewing on their skin, fur, fleas. There would be no reason for anyone to grind down a dog's teeth to this level. Even when people have tigers' teeth ground down they only grind down tips of the canines.

We are against grinding down any animals' teeth unless it's medically necessary for the animal.

"roasting cats alive for breakfast." Nopes. Fake news. Man is burning fur off dead cat.

snopes, vietnam, vietnames, roasting cats alive for breakfast, fake news, rumor, myth
"Stop the people of Vietnam from roasting cats alive for breakfast." This is a dead cat. The man uses the blowtorch to burn off the fur. Then they will sell it or eat it. Stop spreading this fake news. People start this fake news to start a petition so they can snag the email addresses of animal lovers. Sometimes they even ask for donations. Don't fall for it.

That said we're against eating cats or dogs.

"Dog skinned alive and running from butcher." Nopes. It's a farm animal that was killed and skinned while dead.

dog skinned alive running from butcher, snopes, lamb, sheep being sold at market, fake news
"Dog skinned alive and running from butcher." Come on! There is a bag over the head. You can clearly see it's a cloven animal. It's not a dog. It's just a garish display at a Chinese outdoor market. It's a younger sheep or lamb that has had it's fur removed. It was not skinned alive. It's almost impossible to skin an animal alive. It's much easier to skin them when they're dead. It would make no sense to skin them alive.

People make up these fake stories so they can make petitions to snag the email address of animal lovers. Sometimes they even ask for donations. It's fake news.

That said we're against eating any animals for food.

Photo of "chinchilla skinned alive." Nopes. It's just a chinchilla missing some fur.

snopes, jlo, fur coat, chinchilla, skinned alive, false, fake news, animal

Here is a pic of a live chinchilla missing most of it's fur and JLo wearing a chinchilla cost. This chinchilla was not skinned alive. When they skin an animal to make a fur coat they take off all of the skin including fat, capillaries... The chinchilla above still has its skin. It's almost impossible to skin an animal alive. They would fight like hell. If they were skinned alive, they would die from the stress. They would not survive.

This chinchilla was accidentally poisoned with sodium carbonate in its feed. Here is the article about the poisoning and hair loss. Below is the chinchilla sitting on a desk alive with very little fur.

Here are pics of the bald chinchilla which is clearly very much alive and has its skin.

That said we're against fur coats. No one needs a fur coat today. It's cruel to animals.
